A House Storm Story

Liz’s Halloween Adventure

Pretentious prick, she thinks. But curiosity and the memory of his underlying charm got the better of her. Poppy barks. Liz looks at her.

“What do you want, you incessant fluff ball?”

Poppy cocks her head. Liz looks into the distance. A rabbit gently hops towards them. It stops in front of Liz.

Liz gives it a 🤨 expression.

The rabbit lights a cigarette.

“Hello there.” It speaks.

“Oh great,” Liz replies, “talking rabbits. What next, Ephiny-sodding-Storm?”

“Oh, I see someone’s got the arsehole.” The rabbit grins. “Would you like a carrot?”

The rabbit waves a carrot in Liz’s direction. She does not reply. The rabbit looks at her chest.

“You must be Liz… Follow me.” The rabbit hops off towards the house.

Liz takes a deep impatient breath, looks at Poppy, considers her life choices for a moment, and then follows the rabbit.
